Champions Go British: A Summary

To exemplify what Champions Read is all about, we have decided to re-visit and summarize a previous book cub meeting, themed “British Night”.  For that month (May 2010), we read books by English authors–An Education by Lynn Barber and On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan–ate English dishes, drank Guinness, and even toyed around with a new format by watching the movie version of An Education after our discussion.

The brainstorming and planning behind the event is an essential part of Champions Read. We have included here some fun times had via email in the process of planning our menu. Enjoy and welcome to the world of the Champions.
